The Blog is Moving
Maybe a little bit sadly, but I need to announce that I’m moving this blog.
When I came back from holiday, I noticed that my visits have dropped significantly and a fellow blogger told me that my news feed on Bloglovin is not refreshing any more.
I emailed Bloglovin and Tumblr, only to find out that they have both fell apart. Bloglovin replied to me immediately, that it was a decision taken by Tumblr; while Tumblr didn’t not even bother replying to any of my messages.
According to a Tumblr spokesperson, Bloglovin’s access was suspended because the startup was “unwilling to remove features designed to siphon traffic from Tumblr blogs, including the wholesale reproduction of blog pages.” Tumblr says that user complaints “regarding unauthorized display of their content” lead to an investigation.
Bloglovin commands over 25 million users to date and focuses largely on women’s lifestyle content.
I’m sorry Tumblr, but my main visitors are coming from Bloglovin. I use it personally to read other bloggers and can’t let it go that easy. Considering the fact you were too busy to reply to my messages, shows you’re not down to the numbers.
So I took the decision to move.
I already have my own domain and hosting which serves lots of my other websites, so… there you go. My domain is going to be linked to a new independently hosted website. The new website will have more features and a much better interface. For my readers and followers, it shouldn’t make any different - you will still be opening the same web address as before:
See you there! :)
